A former Fort Bend high school basketball coach was indicted by a Lubbock County grand jury on Tuesday for sexual assault.

Toby Villa, 51, was arrested by Lubbock Police for an incident at a residence not far from Maxey Park.  His most recent jail records indicated Villa’s residence was in Haskell.

Officials said Villa was found in a locked room with a young woman who was intoxicated on the morning of December 12, 2015 at about 2:15.  A friend broke down the door to get into the room.

The indictment said Villa acted “without the consent” of the woman.  It’s not the first time Villa has been accused of a sexual offense.

In December 2014, Click2Houston.com reported, “According to an investigator with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Toby Villa is accused of attacking the wife of one of his friends while she was asleep.”

School officials in 2014 said no students were involved.  Officials in Lubbock said Villa lost his coaching job after the allegations in Fort Bend.

Court records from Fort Bend County indicated that the 2014 case was still pending and set for a court hearing in April.
