Mario Luna, 52, pleaded guilty Thursday to online solicitation of a minor and was sentenced to 4 years of probation and community service. If he does not successfully complete the probation, then a 10-year prison sentence would be waiting for him.
Luna was accused of using the internet to solicit an individual who was posing a 16-year-old girl. When Luna made arrangements to meet an underage girl in Lubbock in December of 2013, he was instead arrested.
Luna was also ordered to register as a sex offender for both the 4-years of probation and the 10-years of his suspended prison term.
The plea deal was accepted by State District Judge William R. Eichman.
