Texas Tech’s newly-hired basketball coach Chris Beard was a longtime assistant under Bob Knight, but his evolution as a head coach along the way was the topic of Red Raider Nation’s conversation with one of his former players.
Josh Hagins, a senior this past season at Arkansas-Little Rock, detailed Beard’s coaching style, intensity, and offensive system.
“It’s not like he’s not out there throwing chairs,” said Hagins, jokingly. “At the same time, he keeps everyone accountable, and that’s kind of the difference between good teams and bad teams.”
