Marisol Otomi Aguero, 26, was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.  Prosecutors said Aguero had two victims.

One of the cases had more details than the other. Both girls were older than 14 but younger than 17, according to the prosecution.

Aguero was a softball coach who was indicted after allegations that she had a sexual relationship with one of her former players.

In April of 2015, Lubbock Police were looking for a 15-year-old runaway.

According to court records filed in 2015, the girl’s parents thought Aguero was not only harboring the girl but also having a sexual relationship with her.

Police found Aguero in 5400 block of Avenue A.   The 2015 court records said, “[Aguero and the runaway girl] were ‘making out’ in the front yard of the residence.”

The girl admitted to sexual activity with Aguero at the time.  Aguero was arrested and later she was able to get her bond lowered.  She has been free on bond pending her court date.

However, after a sentencing hearing on Tuesday morning, she was taken back into custody.
