On January 26, 2017, Mayor Dan Pope proclaimed that Friday, February 3rd would be Lubbock Wear Red day in support of the Go Red for Women Initiative.
United Supermarkets has signed on with the American Heart Association as the sponsor for this years events.
Texas Tech students and staff are going to go all red on Friday along with the stadium then on Saturday everyone is encouraged to sport their red at the United Supermarkets Arena for both the Lady Raiders and Red Raiders games.
The Go Red Committee is encouraging everyone to wear their red at their place of business and to dress the kiddos in red for the day to support the cause.
