Raider Red Meats is gearing up to host a KCBS Sanctioned BBQ and Ribeye Championship. This is the Texas State Championship and is open to the public. They will be giving out $12,000 in cash and prizes.
On August 26, is the Raider Rumble, where four pit masters will go head to head in a steak and shrimp cook-off. The winner will take home $1,000. The cook-off is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. The Cook-off will be held at the Animal and Food Science Livestock arena on the Texas Tech Campus. After the Cook-off, is the prime rib dinner and live auction. They will end the night with a live concert from Texas Country band, Cody Canada and the Departed.
The KCBS cook-off will be held on Saturday August 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. You can find more information by emailing Tate Corliss at tate.corliss@ttu.edu.
