Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving that coincides with Black Friday during the holidays. It is a day to give back to the community during the holiday season. This is the second year that Lubbock has participated in Giving Tuesday.
This year 73 local nonprofits are participating in Giving Tuesday and they have set a goal of raising $175,000 in 24 hours. Donations can be given until 11:59 p.m., on Tuesday. Anyone can go online to www.givingtuesdaylbk.org or in person at any United Supermarket location.
