Owner of Goody’s Popcorn, Taylor Doss said the store is celebrating their fifth year anniversary by announcing plans for their second location. For the past five years the store has been located inside the South Plains Mall. With an array of vibrant colors, and every flavor combo imaginable, Doss said he is excited to see his unique business expand.
“Things are shaping up for our five year anniversary we are actually going to be doing a name change and have some new items on our menu,” Doss said. “We are about to have a brand new location in Lubbock.”
Taylor Doss has spent hours carefully experimenting to craft his tasty creations.
“All these candy popcorns, we can even custom color any of them to what you need so if you need watermelon I can make it in pink or blue for you,” Doss said. “We have cheeses, savory flavors, loaded potato.”
Goody’s Popcorn has even been tasted by the troops overseas, serving our country.
“There’s a nonprofit group out of Amarillo that sends out care packages to our troops and we have actually sent thousands of popcorn bags to them,” Doss said. “You know they don’t always get a lot of goodt stuff from America so it’s a good thing.”
Doss attributes his success to his family, and said he grew up cooking in the kitchen with his parents. He said expansion is his number one goal.
“That is the main way I’m going right now is more toward manufacturing for big companies,” Doss said. “I want to do it all over the United States, that would be our blessing, for me and my family.”
