Lubbock Police were called to Butler Park, East 4th Street and Walnut Avenue, just after 3:30 pm.
“There were two vehicles involved,” Lieutenant Ray Mendoza said. “Occupants from each vehicle began firing at each other.”
Mendoza said no gunshot victims had been located as of 4:45 p.m.
Police were seen putting up crime tape in the park. Mendoza said the situation remained under investigation.
