Joining a gym is not always the easiest process, but it is a process that is made easier by the trainers at Gunz Up Fitness. Gunz Up is a local gym that is combining exercise with giving back to the community. They offer group classes, personal training and they are open 24 hours a day, but Owner Zach Morrow said it’s so much more.

“It’s a community where everyone can feel empowered and everyone can feel accepted and know that they are going to taken care of,” Morrow said.

Joining Gunz Up Fitness is also an opportunity to give back to the community through a new partnership with a company called sweat angels. This partnership helps raise funds and items for donations to a different charity every month. All you have to check in on social media and it donates to the cause that month. In August, they raised money for flood victims in Louisiana. In September, every check in donates four bowls of food to animals in the Rescue Bank Animal Shelter. Morrow said that this initiative is a way to better yourself while giving back.

“You’re not only investing in yourself, but through the opportunities that we have through our new sweat angel initiative; you’re going to be able to invest back into other people in the world and give back to things on a much larger scale,” Morrow said.

Whether you are looking to get back in shape or get involved in the community, Gunz Up Fitness wants to help improve everyone’s quality of life. They are located at 6535 82nd St., You can find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/gunzupfitness.
