Texas Tech defensive coordinator David Gibbs has been adamant about getting the guys who fit his system, and it seems the second-year Tech DC got exactly that with Quincy Addison’s verbal commitment this past weekend.

According to his high school head coach: plenty of versatility and a physical demeanor on the field.

“The thing that you’ll notice right away on his highlight tape is he’s not afraid to come up and strike you,” said Angleton High head coach and Tech alum Ryan Roark. “It does my heart good to see one of my players excited to come back to Raiderland!”

Addison chose Tech over Texas State, but he was also receiving interest from Houston, SMU, and Tulane.

What else does Roark have to say about what Red Raider Nation should expect from Addison, and what does the young play maker like to do off the field?
