Kids exposed to virtual violence through television, movies or gaming could become more aggressive, violent or fearful. That’s according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. It suggests parents view games and movies with their kids, make a media plan for the family and protect kids under six from all violent media.
Many elderly people may not be taking their prescribed medications correctly. Researchers from Belgium looked at about 500 adults over age 80. They found more than half were underusing or misusing medicines. The study also found a link between underusing essential medication and an increased risk of dying or hospitalization.
