Doctors in Massachusetts identified a gene linked to the most aggressive forms of early stage breast cancer. They said half the cases with the bio-marker will spread within ten to 15 years after initial diagnosis. The findings might help physicians tailor more effective therapies.
A new study suggested adults who are overweight at some point in their lives face a higher risk of death from any cause, especially heart disease, cancer, and respiratory problems. At least one-third of adults in the U.S. are considered overweight.
Researchers at UCLA reported high blood pressure patients who trust the medical profession are more likely to take their medication. Those same patients appeared more able to adapt to life’s difficulties and experienced a better quality of life.
