A new study from Nationwide Children’s Hospital highlighted the danger of cleaning ears at home with cotton swabs. Doctors found about 77 percent of injuries occurred when children try to clean their own ears, causing perforations, bleeding and other injuries. Doctors said ear canals are generally self-cleaning.
People who exercise more, eat a healthy diet, and don’t smoke are less likely to have a personal history of colorectal cancer and polyps. That’s according to researchers at Cleveland Clinic, but they found only about a third of patients were up to date on colorectal screenings.
Cinnamon may lessen the cardiovascular risks of a high-fat diet. Researchers found lab rats fed cinnamon supplements for twelve weeks weighed less and had less belly fat than other rats.
