Dutch researchers said people with hard to treat high blood pressure may not be taking their medicine properly. Doctors found only one in five patients with resistant high blood pressure take all their prescribed meds, and another 20 percent don’t take any at all.

Cardiologists report they can pinpoint heart disease even before patients have symptoms. Doctors in New York said using calcium scan imaging allows patients to make key lifestyle changes, such as better nutrition and exercise, to avoid heart trouble later on.  

There’s new hope for female cancer patients struggling with infertility. Doctors said a drug that slows tumor growth may also protect ovaries. Lab mice on the drug had more than twice the offspring than mice on chemotherapy alone.
