New numbers showed calls to poison centers about children exposed to opioids happen every 45 minutes. Researchers in Ohio said most cases involve children younger than five. They said while overall calls involving opioids are decreasing, there’s been an increase in calls involving a medication that treats addicts.

Many teenage and young adult cancer survivors struggle with social difficulties for years after diagnosis.  That’s according to Dutch researchers who recommend improving social support after treatment. 

Surgery may not be the answer for people with chronic tennis elbow. In a clinical trial, doctors in Australia found patients undergoing surgery had about the same relief as those who had a placebo procedure.
