People suffering with chronic pain may find relief by getting more sleep. That’s according to researchers in Boston who found sleep-deprived mice had higher pain sensitivity. Scientists said extra sleep and even the caffeine boost in coffee worked as well as some pain medications.
New data from the University of California suggested breastfeeding can boost infant immune systems. Researchers found mother’s milk produced nearly one-third of the beneficial bacteria in a baby’s intestinal tract.
Putting down the salt shaker may not be good enough. Doctors in Minnesota said people also need to cut back on processed foods and restaurant meals if they hope to make a dent in sodium intake.
