A new study suggested health food stores are recommending sports performance supplements to young athletes despite warnings from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Researchers found nearly 70-percent of store workers recommend creatine supplements to underage athletes even though the long-term effects are unknown.
Children born to obese mothers and fathers may be more likely to suffer setbacks in early childhood development. Doctors tracking nearly 5,000 children found those with obese parents were more likely to fail when it came to fine motor skills, social functioning, and problem solving.
