The American Academy of Pediatrics said the best medical care for children is at the pediatrician’s office, not urgent care facilities. New guidelines recommended children receive consistent, comprehensive, non-emergency care at a pediatrics practice, and that children under two avoid treatment at retail-based clinics. 

A new study suggested regular bedtimes and mealtimes, along with limited screen time, adds to preschoolers emotional health and may reduce their risk of obesity later in life. Ohio State University researchers found children with emotional issues at age three were more likely to be obese at age 11. 

Eating five prunes a day may help lower your risk of colon cancer. Doctors reported lab mice fed prunes had beneficial changes in intestinal biochemistry. They said more research is needed.
