Americans on average are 15 pounds heavier than they were 20 years ago, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention health statistics. The CDC also said men and women have basically stayed the same height the last two decades.
San Diego researchers have found that young adults born in the 1990’s are less sexually active than the previous two generations. Researchers looked at about 30,000 U.S. adults and said the perception that millennials are part of a “hook-up culture” is not entirely accurate.
Oxford University researchers said a new test that can determine if a respiratory infection is viral or bacterial is helping doctors prescribe fewer antibiotics. The five minute blood test looks for a protein that is a marker of bacteria. Low levels of the protein mean the infection is viral and no antibiotics are necessary.
