Women with hearing loss are significantly more likely to deliver premature babies with low birth weight, according to researchers in Massachusetts. They tracked millions of deliveries. Doctors said deaf women were often less satisfied with their medical care and had fewer prenatal visits.

A new study in Colorado of older teenagers has found that many of them don’t get enough exercise. But researchers found students who attended a four-year college and lived on campus were more likely to meet the recommended 60 minutes of exercise daily and continue that habit into adulthood.

New data on cancer patients found more than half thought Phase 1 clinical trials would shrink their tumors. Doctors said the expectations often exceeded the reality, indicating the need to manage expectations and improve patient information.
