Healthcast, Growing Up on A Farm and the Impact on Allergies

U.S. researchers have linked a heart disease protein in the blood to early stage brain damage. The study tracked more than 2-thousand  adults and found a protein associated with heart stress was an early indicator of stroke and dementia.

A survey in the British Medical Journal found the majority of adults in the U.S. incorrectly believe that additives in cigarettes are more harmful than cigarette smoke, Researchers also found many of those surveyed mistakenly thought cigarette filters effectively trap toxic chemicals in cigarette smoke.

Scientists said growing up on farms might protect children from allergies. They found kids are exposed to dust which increases a  protein in their blood that suppresses their inflammatory immune systems.
