A new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report should help pediatricians deal with the Zika virus. It outlines ways to prevent, diagnose and treat children with the mosquito-borne virus. The CDC has said Zika should be suspected if a child has traveled to an affected area and has at least two symptoms, including fever, rash, joint pain or pink eye.

New research looked at treating hospitalized patients for delirium and found antipsychotic drugs may not work. Older people in hospitals or long-term care facilities are at higher risk of delirium.

Researchers in California have said that people who smoke pot for many years end up in lower paying, less skilled jobs. They tracked hundreds of children through adulthood and found regular users ended up in a lower social class than their parents.
