Several new studies have found no connection between working the night shift and breast cancer risk. Researchers from Oxford University followed 800,000 women in three large studies. They found no increased cancer risk. The findings question the World Health Organization’s 2007 assessment that shift work could increase the chance of developing cancer.

Scientists from Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital said they have come up with a blood sugar test that is 50% more accurate than the current test that is widely used by diabetics. Researchers said the new test is more precise because it factors in the age of each patient’s red blood cells. They said the new model could lead to more precise diagnosis, monitoring and better-tailored treatments.

New research has concluded that there is a cap to how old we can possibly live, and we’ve already reached it. Researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine calculated that the maximum human lifespan peaked in the mid 90s. They put the average maximum human lifespan at 115 years and the absolute limit of human lifespan at 125 years.
