A new study suggested the learning strategy known as practice testing may protect the memory against stress. Researchers at Tufts University said students who took practice tests had much better recall even under high levels of stress than students who used the conventional study method of re-reading the material.

Doctors said improvements in testing during the past five years led to significant progress towards eliminating mother-to-child transmissions of the virus.
