A study in the Netherlands has found women who undergo in-vitro fertilization do not have a higher risk of breast cancer. IVF procedures temporarily affect hormone levels, but researchers said the breast cancer risk is not any greater.

The American Cancer Society has endorsed the CDC’s recommendation that doctors vaccinate boys against certain types of human papilloma virus, or HPV. The vaccine was originally recommended only for girls. HPV can cause genital, mouth, throat and other cancers.

Researchers have discovered more adolescents are diabetic than previously thought. A study of 2,600 12 to 19-year-olds shows rates are higher than original estimates and that many diabetic teens go undiagnosed.
