Surgery may be the key for some lung cancer patients to live longer. A study from the University of California at Davis found patients with late-stage, non-small cell lung cancer who have surgery have better survival rates than those who do not have surgery. However, researchers found fewer of these patients are undergoing surgery.

A picture may be worth a thousand words when it comes to washing your hands. Researchers in Detroit found that seeing images of the bacteria found on everyday items inspired more healthcare workers to do a better job at cleaning their hands. Images of bacteria on things like mouse pads and even hands boosted hygiene by 24%. 

A new survey has found men are more likely to make excuses than make appointments when it comes to going to the doctor. Orlando Health surveyed more than 2,000 men. The top three excuses for not going to the doctor were they were too busy, they were afraid something was actually wrong and they do not like more intimate exams, like prostate checks.
