Older adults with heart disease could benefit from more physical activity. A statement from the American Heart Association said exercise helps reduce symptoms of heart disease and increases independence. Activities can include daily walks, yoga and tai chi.

Women who are treated for cancer during their childbearing years are more likely to give birth prematurely and they may be more likely to have abnormally small babies. A study in JAMA Oncology suggested when young cancer patients weigh their treatment options, they consider their impact on fertility.

Scientists said they’re a critical step closer to developing a drug that actually reverses aging. An article in the journal Science said researchers have identified a molecular process that repairs DNA damage from old age and exposure to radiation. The author said it could be on the market in less than five years.
