There is new evidence that taking acetaminophen during pregnancy increases the baby’s risk of developing asthma as a child. Researchers in Norway and England found a consistent link between children having asthma at age three and having been exposed to the painkiller during pregnancy.
A new study from Yale has found patients who go to Veterans Affairs hospitals for a heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia have lower death rates compared to patients who go to non-VA hospitals. But researchers found the readmission rates were higher at VA hospitals.
