The Centers for Disease Control said about 55-percent of teens have had sex by age 18. That percentage has gradually declined over the past 27 years. The data also showed about 80 percent of sexually active teens used some form of contraception the first time.
Parkinson’s disease is partly an autoimmune disease according to a new study from Columbia University. Researchers found an abnormal protein in Parkinson’s that triggers an immune response and kills neurons in the brain.
Mothers who breastfeed are about 10% less likely to have a heart attack or a stroke later in life compared to mothers who don’t breastfeed. The study of nearly 300,000 Chinese women also found the cardiovascular benefits increased the longer a woman breastfed.
