One-third of young adults have ridden in a car with an impaired driver. That’s according to a new study of recent high school graduates from the National Institutes of Health. Drivers impaired by marijuana and alcohol were most common in the study. 

Having poor dental health may be linked with an increased risk for diabetes. California researchers looked at records of nearly 10,000 adults over 20 years old and found a relationship between the number of teeth a person was missing and poor results on glucose tests. 

Most Americans do not have ideal cardiovascular health. The study in Annals of Internal Medicine looked at data from 1988 to 2014. Researchers found rates of ideal cardiovascular health remain below 40 percent for whites, 25 percent for Mexican Americans, and 15 percent for African Americans.
