Another study backs the safety of the HPV vaccine. Canadian researchers looked at data on about 180,000 girls and found no link between getting vaccinated for the human papillomavirus and increased risk of auto immune disorders. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease and can lead to cervical and anal cancer.
Many patients may not be receiving follow-up care they need after suffering a concussion. A National Institutes of Health funded study found among patients with three or more moderate to severe symptoms, 41 percent did not have a follow up with a doctor three months after being discharged. Researchers say many injuries can lead to long-lasting physical and cognitive issues if not treated properly.
