Healthcast : A Study on Teenagers Dependent on Alcohol, Marijuana

Teenagers who are dependent on marijuana and alcohol are less likely to go to college, work full time or get married according to a new study. Researchers from the University of Connecticut tracked more than a thousand 12 year olds for more than 20 years. Most participants had an alcoholic family member.

A new study found fine air particles cause more than 10 million cases of chronic kidney disease every year. Researchers said Central America and South Asia had the highest number of cases.

Researchers in Massachusetts said pregnant women with a history of kidney stones have an increased risk for high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, and pre-term delivery.
