A fatty diet could increase the risk of a relapse for children with multiple sclerosis by more than 50 percent. That’s according to a study in the British Medical Journal that found a diet rich in vegetables had the opposite effect.

Scientists in New York City discovered a chemical compound that causes cancer cells to self-destruct without harming healthy cells. In tests on mice, the treatment was successfully used against leukemia cells.

A new Canadian study recommended giving children Ibuprofen for pain when they have minor orthopedic surgery.  Researchers said Ibuprofen has fewer adverse effects, like vomiting and dizziness, than oral morphine.
