A study by the National Institute of Health suggested women who experience chest pains should get a check-up even if they are considered low risk for heart disease. Researchers discovered some participants in the study showed scaring on their heart indicating they had a heart attack even though they had no coronary artery blockages.

There’s a possible breakthrough in the battle against peanut allergies. A California-based company said it has developed a preventative treatment in a capsule. More than half of the kids who took it were able to consume a small amount of peanuts when the daily dose of peanut flour was sprinkled over food.

Researchers from the Stanford University School of Medicine looked at low-fat and low-carb diets and can’t say if one is better than the other. The study found both have the potential to trim the same amount of weight, while genetics and insulin levels may tip the scale when it comes to dieting.
