Stepping up exercise during middle age significantly reduced the risk of heart failure in as few as six years. Researchers at Johns Hopkins analyzed data from 11,000 older Americans. They found those who decreased their physical activity were 18-percent more susceptible to heart failure.
A Scandinavian study revealed women who take ibuprofen instead of antibiotics for urinary tract infections are likely to experience symptoms longer and are more prone to serious side effects. More than half of all women will experience a urinary tract infection during their lifetime.
Newly released data suggested more adults are trying electronic cigarettes, but many then give it up. A survey of nearly than 102,000 adults between 2014 and 2016 found that even though more people are trying e-cigarettes, they don’t continue and the number of current users is going down.
