Young men may be more at risk than young women when it comes to the dangers of heavy drinking. That’s according to researchers in Finland who found more changes in the brain’s electrical functioning in male drinkers. Doctors warned long-term alcohol use can be risky for all young people.

The Academy of Pediatrics said everyone over six months needs a flu shot and that children should get theirs by the end of October. Doctors said the flu vaccine significantly reduces a child’s risk of severe cases and death. 

Scientists in Europe are exploring the link between attention deficit disorder and sleep problems.  About 75-percent of children and adults with ADHD struggle with sleep and doctors said the condition may have more to do with sleep disturbances than previously thought.
