Researchers in Massachusetts said higher levels of certain lipids in the brain could be an early sign of Parkinson’s disease. They hope the breakthrough will lead to early treatment of the disease. Parkinson’s affects 10 million people worldwide.

Severe obesity could speed up the disabling effects of rheumatoid arthritis. That’s according to doctors at the University of Pennsylvania, who looked at adults with the condition. 

A new study found senior citizens are more likely to go to the emergency room hours after getting a home care visit from a nurse. Canadian researchers said those hospital visits often lead to misdiagnoses and hospital admissions for non-urgent issues.
