Germs with unusual resistance to antibiotics are widespread in the United States. The CDC reported that in 2017 there were more than 200 instances of germs that can’t be killed by most antibiotics or germs that can spread resistance to other bugs. The CDC said it’s critical to quickly identify these threats to stop the spread of antibiotic resistance.
A new study shows smokers have poor quality diets. Connecticut researchers looked at nearly 6,000 adults and found smokers were more likely to eat smaller portions, but with much higher calories compared to non smokers.
Losing your nest egg could be harmful to your health. A study from Northwestern found middle or older age adults have a 50 percent higher risk of death if they suffer a sudden financial loss.
