The new playroom inside Covenant Children’s will likely score a lot of touchdowns in the eyes of their patients. The room a gift from the Tim Tebow Foundation.
“The idea is really simple, if a child has to come to a hospital and spend days or months, either way, it’s too long we don’t want our children in hospitals. And as good as a hospital can be at making it a warm and welcoming feeling, a hospital still feels like a hospital,” said Erik Dellenback, Executive Director of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
This is the foundation’s seventh room.
“We have a waiting list of 18 more rooms to go around the room and this initiative is such a blessing, not because of the walls but because of these kids,” said Dellenback.
