The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire that happened early Friday morning.
According to the Lubbock Fire Department, they were called to an apartment in the Courtyard by the Lake Apartment complex just after 1 Friday morning.
Lubbock Fire said when they arrived on scene, there was smoke coming out of one of the apartments, but they found no fire when they got inside. They said they believe the fire likely choked itself out.
According the Lubbock Fire, the apartment had been vacant since August 1st.
The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and the origin of the fire.
