The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to a one vehicle crash on FM-168 that occurred Saturday in Randall County, resulting in the death of one person.
At approximately 2 p.m., Samuel Hernandez, Jr., 26, of Hereford, was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on FM-168 approximately three and a half miles south of Umbarger. Hernandez failed to negotiate a curve and crashed, causing his death.
Hernandez was pronounced dead on scene by the Randall County Justice of the Peace.
Hernandez was not wearing his helmet.
The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.
