Hillary Clinton’s campaign opened their second Texas campaign office Saturday morning in San Antonio, adding to the democratic candidate’s efforts to win over Texas voters leading up to Super Tuesday.

“We think about the community, about what we need to do on Super Tuesday, and really making sure that we have a robust operation here to bring out the votes,” Amanda Renteria, Clinton’s National Political Director said. “It was important to come here so everyone knows not only does the Secretary have a connection to Texas, but also we’ve got to start knocking on doors and phone-banking.”

Renteria flew down from New Hampshire on Saturday to address a group of Hillary Clinton supporters at the opening of the campaign’s San Antonio office. She told the crowd how important it is for Hillary Clinton’s campaign to win Texas on March 1st.

“When the Secretary talks about Texas,” Renteria said, “she talks about the big cities and the small towns and how it is incredibly important that we are bringing everyone to the table and making sure people are voting on voting day.”

Renteria was joined by Congressman Joaquin Castro and former State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, who also addressed the crowd before going door-to-door in San Antonio’s west side to secure votes.

“When you look across the country and you think about the diversity in Texas and you think about the large population which means a large number of delegates,” Renteria said. “You begin to realize how incredibly important Texas is for the primary, and how incredibly important it is to Hillary Clinton, because she has a history here. In fact, it is the only state she has visited three times in any of our Super Tuesday March states.”

Clinton’s campaign would not say when the next time the presidential hopeful would return to the Lone Star State. In October Clinton attended a “Latinos for Hillary” rally in San Antonio, and since then has spent most of her time in Texas holding private fundraisers.
