On April 18th, 2016, Officers with the Hobbs Police Department responded to the 600 block of East Kiva in reference to an unresponsive four-year-old. Upon their arrival, life-saving measures were being performed and the child was transported to Lea Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The child was later pronounced deceased by Lea Regional medical personnel.
The investigation into the child’s death is on-going.
