Just after 2:00 p.m. EMS, Aerocare, volunteer firefighters and sheriff’s deputies responded to the 8500 block of Woodrow Road for the report of a man who fell from a ladder. That location is south of the Lubbock city limits.
A photojournalist at the scene said the site was a new home under construction. The man was said to be 61 years old. Eyewitnesses were not sure if he fell from the ladder because of a medical condition. They wondered if his medical situation was more serious than the fall.
A bystander was observed doing CPR on the man until EMS arrived.
No details were initially available on the condition of the man who was taken to University Medical Center.
