The Lubbock Police Department reported Sunday that homicide detectives were called to a Central Lubbock home Saturday evening in response to a dead body.
The incident was reported in the 2500 block of 31st Street shortly after 6:00 p.m.
Police said dispatchers received a call about a death at the location. Patrol officers initially responded to the scene and believed the death was suspicious.
It was at this point homicide detectives were called to the scene. Detectives concluded following their investigation the death did not appear to be suspicous.
Lubbock Police said the case is currently being treated as a death investigation.
