Lubbock businesses are preparing to accommodate Red Raider fans who may be traveling to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series.
Purple Tie Limo has special package deals for fans wanting to travel to Omaha. Samantha Spitzer, the President of Purple Tie Limo, said prices can vary based on the number of people.
“We started putting packages together for groups of 4 to 8 and possibly even 10 depending on how quick everything books out,” Spitzer said.
Red Raider Outfitter has been designing College World Series T-shirts since before the Super Regionals. Red Raider Outfitter has more than 10 new designs coming in before Wednesday. Katie Dickey, the Head Buyer for Red Raider Outfitter, said it’s a fun process to be able to do their part in supporting the team.
“One thing that we’re most excited about is Tim Tadlock has a saying ‘Water the Tree’ and so we asked him permission to make a shirt off of that for inspiration to the community,” Dickey said.
The Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball team with face TCU in Omaha. The time of the game has yet to be determined.
