On Monday evening, around 6:30 p.m., police officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian car crash in the 3100 block of I-27 northbound access road.

The pedestrian,John Fulbright, was crossing the access road and the vehicle, 2011 Lincoln MKS, was traveling northbound.

John Fulbright, 57 years old, failed to yield the right of way and was struck by the Lincoln. Fulbirght suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to UMC by EMS. 

The driver of the Lincoln was not injured. The Lubbock Police Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and is investigating the crash.
