A group of Iraan High School alumni who call themselves the “Ex-Braves” are joining together to financially support the family of Liz Pope, her sister Christina Garlock, and the six cheerleaders injured during the bus crash.

The Vice President of Brave National Bank Zane Rhyne said the group opened an account named “Pray for Iraan” that will be available for donations.

He said he’s impressed to see the tight-knit community’s desire to give back immediately to the victims.

“It was an amazing feeling to have people reach out to me over the weekend. Even though the bank is closed, of course we’ll do whatever we can to help, and feeling that from people reaching out to us it’s an amazing thing for our tight community to have. Iraan is a very special place.”

Rhyne said the bank is honored to provide people a way to give-back after the tragedy.
