With 17 days remaining in the campaign for U.S. House of Representatives, Republican Nominee, Jodey Arrington, continues to welcome our nation’s leaders to West Texas to advocate for the interests and values of our region.

Tomorrow, Jodey will welcome Dr. Michael Burgess, a strong prospect to chair the House Subcommittee on Health, to a Rural Health Roundtable with providers from across West Texas and the Big Country. Arrington invited Burgess to the District in an effort to communicate the unique challenges and importance of rural healthcare to agriculture and energy regions like ours.

Both Arrington and Burgess will be available briefly to the press for questions:

When: Friday, October 21st – 2:30pm
Where: Texas Tech Club
Why: Rural Health Roundtable

Of the meeting, Jodey said,

“As President of Scott Labs, a healthcare innovation company here in Lubbock, I have seen first hand the dire need for access to quality care in rural America. Access to quality care is essential to the sustainability of small town communities and the quality of life for millions of families.

I am excited to welcome Congressman Burgess to West Texas and I am looking forward to working with him to find new solutions to the challenges facing our rural healthcare providers.”
